My grandmother Paulina Kwoczka married
Lukasz Szmajda in Poland. They had 3 children 1 boy and 2 girls. One of the girls
name was Anna born May 12, 1908 in East Garlice, Poland. Anna married William (vasil) Fusiak September 15, 1931 at Ste Sophie Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church of Canada, Dist. of Montreal. Moved to Clifton
New Jersey. Are there any relatives around?
Does anyone know these people? Surname means
what?

My great-grandmother was a Kwoczka. Her children were born in Zalosce (East Galicia) 1877-1896 and she died in Pittsburgh 1926. Other Jewish Kwoczkas in US seem to be related, but I haven't put alot of effort into nailing it down.
May be a variant of Kaczka and Kaczer from the same area (near Tarnopol) as all three names are duck-related.

I dont know if this has anything to do with your family history or not, but i was just woundering if you were related to a Lillian Bea (nee Eury) Szmajda? My family is going through old papers and there is an obit. in her things for this lady. She was in baltimore when she passed away on Jan 1, 1959. if this is a part of your family history email me and I will make a copy of the obit for you.
