Stella Kwiecien
BAINBRIDGE — Stella Kwiecien, 76, passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 1998, in Harpursville.
She was born April 15, 1922, in Bialy Kamien, Poland.
At a young age, Stella was captured and imprisoned in Germany for seven years. At the end of the war, boundaries were re-divided in a treaty in which her home was turned over to Russia.

Stella came to the United States with her husband and children.
She was a resident of Sidney for 18 years, always feeling a close bond with wildlife and all of nature.
Stella was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, in February of 1984.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Russell C. LeBar of Bainbridge; her daughter, Barbara Kwiecien of Hancock; grandson, Russell J. LeBar; and granddaughter, Maria Jeannette LeBar.
