Looking for any information. Born about 1874 in Poland. Believe father's name was Frank -shows his birthplace as Prusia, Poland - mother unknown. Married man named Frank Kuzbicki, had one son, Bruno who died in 1928 at age of 22. Believe she then married Charles Gerka. Frances died Nov 27 1941 and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Cook, IL. Any information will be appreciated.

Kay, I have also been researching the Kwiatkowski surname. I have a load of them, and am finding more relatives every week. What caught my eye was the fact you were looking for a Frances. I have one , possibly two Frances in my tree. I also couldn't help notice that you said she was buried at Holy Cross, in Cal City. My whole family is basically from South Chicago, and almost all of them are interned at Holy Cross, many Kwiatkowski's and Krolikowski's are there. There has to be some link here. If you'd like, send me a few more names related to Frances and Frank and I'll see if I can make a connection with what I have. My Great Grandmother Michalena (Lena)Kwiatkowski and her Husband Joseph Kwiatkowkski, yes, they both were Kwiatkowski's when they met and married, are at Holy Cross along with many others. Let me know if your'e interested , I'd be thrilled to find another long lost cousin. Don Frye

Hi, Don
It turns out the Frances I am looking for is Franciszka NASADOWSKA Kuzbicka Gerka. It's a crazy situation because her death certificate shows her father as Frank Kwiatkowski which would put her on my husban's GRANDFATHER'S side of the family - however - she was a sister of his GRANDMOTHER and her maiden name would have been NASADOWSKI. She married a man named Kuabicki and had three children, and when he died she maried Carl Gerka. I have had good luck getting records from Poland for the rest of the Nasawodski family but so far haven't been able to find much about her.

Our family that would be buried in Holy Cross would be Nasadowski and Maslankowski. Our Kwiatkowski relatives are in Resurrection Cemetery.

Ed's grandfather, Matthew Kwiatkowski came here in 1910 and his one brother Casimier also came here. They had one brother that died in Poland. They were from Przywieczerzyn Poland area.

Greatgrandfather Jozef Kwiatkowski born 1857 married Kathzrzyna Wiatrowski and had three children that we know of - Jozef who died in Poland at the age of one, Mateusz and Kazmierz all born in Poland. When Matthew was born the men who went with Jozef to fill out the birth record were Franciszek Kwiatkowski and Ludwik Kozlowski - Masters of the Horse. They were all from Przywieczerzyn. We do not know who that Franciszek is. If any of this sounds interesting, please let me know.

Kay, The one thing that does interest me is Matthew. My GreatGreat Grandfather was Matthew Kwiatkowski and he supposedly came here around 1908-1909 from where I'm unsure of. I do know that he was married to Agnes Straszewski, but I'm also unsure if he had any siblings. Does any of this ring a bell? Let me know, thanks, Don

Our Matthew Kwiatkowski came here in 1910. He was married to Marianna Nasadowski. He had three sons in Poland, one died there and my husband's dad and Uncle John came here in 1912 with there mother. Three daughters were born in Chicago, Helen, Genevieve and Virginia. Genevieve (Sister Avila) is the only one still surviving.

Did your Frances have a sister Antonia (Mary) Kwiatkowski she married a Walenty (Valentine) Malachowski, they lived in minok, Ill when my grandfather John was born May 1887.
Was her Father Joseph Kwiatkowski? Joseph m Michaline mikolajewicz in 1864 in Poland. I believe they had 4 children John, Stanley, Antonia, & Frances. They came to US early 1878-1885 lived south Chicago, West Side, and NW Side of Chicago

I hope we have a connection, if so please email ten99now@bellsouth.net
Thanks,
Mary Ellen

Hi,is this Marianna the one in the Ellis Island records as coming over in 1910 with a 2 yr old child? If so her name was spelt in the records as Nasiadka & that is a name I'm very much interested in connecting with.

Frank Kwiatkowski is not a member of our family. The Frances I was researching was female and her name was not Kwiatkowski. Sorry I can't help. Our ancestors never lived in any state except IL.
