20 year old male in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It would be cool to actually trace my family tree ... kinda hard when you're Chinese.

Just another Kwan.

This is a very late reply from me. But I believe my father is from Hoi Peng ... and he speaks Toi San. =P I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. My father's name is Kwan Chi-Kwan. *shrugs*

A 5-year gap reply from a Quon in Toronto. Hoi-Ping is a common village (county? I can never get it straight) from where the multitudes of Quon/Kwan/Quan originated. Best to ask parents, relatives about exact location but do realise that some older Chinese tend to be tight-lipped or a little hesitant about history. I visited Hoi Ping, where my father lived as a child. My relatives in North America live in Calgary, North Bay, Vancouver and Toronto as well as NYC, San Francisco.
