Christopher Andersen Lommen, 23, from Slidre Norway and Gurid Torgersdatter, 20, were passengers on the ship Emanuel in 1851 from Bergen to America. They were married Aug 21, 1855 at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church in Winneshiek Cty, Iowa when he was 27 and she was 24, both listed as coming from Slidre, Norway. Guri is later listed on a census record as Julia.

Andrew Andersen Lommen b. Feb. 4, 1860
Ola Andersen Lommen b Sep 17, 1864 (shown later in a census record as Ole)
Theodor Andersen Lommen b. Feb 9, 1867
On Jan 5, 1871 the 43 year old widower Christopher Andersen Lommen married Thurid Olsdtr Kvale, 25 years old from Slidre, at the Washington Prairie Lutheran Church.
The children of Christopher and Thurid that were baptized at Washington Prairie are:

Malene Lommen b Apr 11, 1873
Christina Andrea Lommen b Feb 18, 1878
They then moved to near Grand Forks, Dakota Territory and had the following children:
Mary Lommen, b Aug 1879 in Iowa
Emma Gurine Lommen b Sep 28, 1880
Martin Lommen b May 19, 1883
Christopher A. Lommen died between 1882 and June 1900.
Thurid/Tuse/Turi Lommen died May 13, 1922
