Hi!! Any Kuzara out there, well my dad has always had wild stories of where our family name came from, and I always knew that we were predominately polish but, I've heard stories of Kuzar islands in the Meditterean. I searched on the internet to find any info. on these islands, and this site poped up, but when I read something about a George Kuzara in Wyoming, I knew these people had to be related to me, George is my great-great grandfather( I am only 15 ) and the daughter of Gregory J Kuzara. I would be interested in any information anyone has and would love to share mine. Thanks a Bunch!!!

Hello from all of the Kuzara's in Southern California. I can share quite a bit of information regarding the Kuzara as I have been researching the family tree for a few years now. There are quite a few of us here in Fullerton and Buena Park and some in New York. I have a 13 year old daughter who I'm sure who also like chatting with another Kuzara. Her name is Kimberly.

Hi Angela,
Here are some other wild stories about the Kuzara name. My father's name was George J. Kuzara. His father was Klemens Kuzara from Otalez Poland. The place still exists. My grandfather Klemens was born in 1886, if I remember correctly.
Are we related? If you want more information I can look in my Kuzara files. I was to Otalez in Poland was have a copy of my grandfather's baptismal record. The name of the church there is Sacred Heart. I have been trying to find out if there are still Kuzaras in Poland. So far, no luck.
The only Kuzaras I know are my relatives and I am surprised to find all of these Kuzaras. My Relatives are mainly in the Chicago area. There are not too many of us left with the sir name of Kuzara.
Good luck.
Thanks.
Fr. George

There are 301 Kuzara`s still living in Poland, half of them my relatives.Your family is from Siedliska-Bogusz in South-Eastern part of Poland, 12 miles(16 km) south from Pilzno. My granfather Michal, was George`s brother.I have my part of the family traced back to 1717 with church records.Otalez is only ~ 20 miles north from Siedliska-Bogusz and one time belong to the same landlord. If you hear story about French connection, in my opinion there are not backed by any proof.

Hi Les --

Cindy & I are both married to decendants of Walenty KUZARA. From Ellis Isand site I had found Walenty's wife Sophia MAZUREK & their son Michael and it appears that they left her father's home in Bodozow Lubin. Now I was able to obtain a copy of Michael's naturalization papers and on them he stated he was born in Gruska Duza Poland. Would you happen to know of any KUZARA's in that area of Poland? or perhaps suggest which parish I should try to contact for more information on our KUZARA line?

Best regards,

Dolores L (nee SZALASNY) KONOPA

George & Sophia Kuzara are my Great Grandparents. I'm 26, and live in Nebraska. My dad is Mark, son of Michael, son of George. If you have any interest in some more stories about the Kuzara antics, if not origins, check out the book, The Black Diamonds of Sheridan, written by your great-great-uncle? Stanley Kuzara. It may be hard to find in your average bookstore... Try looking for it online. Feel free to email me if you'd like.
