My grandfather's name was adam, I am related to a few kuxhouses that have posted in here, and you know who you are! There is only one of adam's/katherine kuxhouse's children left, which is my aunt katie, she is 86 aug 1st. the Kuxhausen clan came from russia, 2 or 3 brothers from russia> The town was mostly german, very few russians lived in it.It was located just off the volga river, southern part, the town no longer exists, it was destroyed during the russian revolution. Not all of the brothers made it out, as great grand father kuxhouse, i am not sure but i think his name was adam, was trying to get everyone out. He was upper middle class, owned a store, probably why the communists killed him. Everyone who didnt make it out contact was lost and all presumed dead ( murdered). The russian revolution was very violent, and many people who had anything were shot. the brothers 1st came to canada, my grandfather moved to the US not sure when , around 1915 i believe. maybe a lil earlier. He change his name from Kuxhausen to kuxhouse because he thought it would be easier for americans and canadians to pronounce.Adam kuxhouse died in 1965, katherine in 1946. they had a total of 11 children, , 4 of which died very young, of then are buried in candada. All the aunt's and uncles that i knew growing up are buried in the seattle area. ! is buried in minnesota.their names were mollie, (1914, Henry ( 1919) Katie (1920) , Adam (1922)Marie ( 1925) Ben my father ( 1928). Kenneth (1930 Sammuel (1931) I could be wrong about Adam's birth year. Unfortunately, most didnt live long lives. Adam died of gang green at age 27, Henry died of a brain anurism at age 40, Sam in a tragic construction cave in accident at age 40,and cancer took marie (55) and Ben ( 59), Kenny of a massive heart attack (66) Mollie of natural causes lived till 77 years. If your ever in Seattle go visit my aunt Katie,Katie Kruise, she always has cookies!
