I am also looking for any information on the
Kuxhouse/Kuxhausen family. My great grandfather
was named Frederick and came to Canada in 1900.
I know that he had two brothers for sure that
immigrated either to Colorado, Idaho or Oklahoma.
Have you had any luck in finding information?

Yvonne. My Great-G-mother was married to a Kuxhaus (don't know his name) who died in the 1890's in Okeene Oklahoma. They had 4 children: Jacob, Henry, Mary and either Mollie or Katie. The children would have been born between 1886 and 1895. She then married a Henry Rusch (my G-G-father). I don't know if these are your relatives or not. I don't even know for sure G-G-ma's name although I think it was Mary. Please post any info on names you have since I have relatives near me (Okla) who may know more.

Charles, the information that I have so far goes that
3 brothers from Rosenberg Russia immigrated to the States
and Canada. Their names were Conrad Jr., George and Adam.
They believed that the 3 other brothers died in Russia, however
my great grandfather, Frederick immigrated to Canada in 1900. I
have no information on the other two brothers Henry and Theodore.
Their father was Conrad Kuxhausen and their mother was Mary Katherin Baker
(could be the other way around). I only know about the 6 brothers
but that doesn't mean that there weren't more children. I'm not sure if
this is the same family or not.

Yvonne, I don't have any idea what my ggma's first husband's (Kuxhaus) first name was. I will try to find out and if I learn something I'll post it. He would have been born in the 1860's and died around 1900 in Oklahoma.

Heather,

I am not replying on your request for Kuxhouse history but because we have the same name. It's not a common name and thought I should at least write and say hello. I live in Canada. Hope to hear from you

I didn't realize there were so many people with the Kuxhouse name. My name is Summer Kuxhouse and I live in Olympia,WA. My father's name was Kenneth Kuxhouse, and his parents were Adam and Katherine Kuxhouse (Kuxhausen). They were germans from Russia. They came to the U.S. in the early early 1900's. They passed away a long long time before I was born. That is all I really know of them.

Although I am not related to this surname of Kuxhaus, I do have access to the obituary of Johann Fredrick (Fred) Kuxhaus, who was born in Rosenburb,Russia, in 1901 and died in 1981 in Sheridan county, Nebraska. He was the son of George Adam Kuxhaus and Mary Kuhlman Kuxhaus. If you are interested, contact me at: gramaselee@yahoo.com
