Their father Daniel Lee Kutch Sr. was the son of Tetrick (Dedrick) Kutch ( the earlist Kutch record we have found). I have quit a large amount of Kutch Family histroy that has been left for me to get organized. Email me for more data.

Re: Enoch Kutch Descendent
Hi, I would be interested in exchanging information on the Kutch family. Allen Kutch, a nephew of James Kutch was my husbands great grandfather. I show James Kutch's wife as Jane Tulk. She died 1892. He died in 1914. They came to Oregon in 1866. Their children were ( from the death index in the Milton Eagle and Freewater Times) Mrs. Henry Stamper of Weston who died 1912, and Mrs. John Brown and Mrs. Robert Brown, both of Hudson Bay, Wilson Kutch of Basket Mt., Mrs. Rudalph Turnbow of Walla Walla. He was the great Granfather of Mrs. Dan (Grace Kutch) Hastins. Obituary is in the Milton Eagle.(Milton Freewater Oregon)

Re: Enoch Kutch Descendent
Roberta - I, too, am interested in the group of families (KUTCH and SCOTT) who came to Oregon in 1866. I am primarily interested in a Jacob SCOTT (b.@1820, KY) who 1st married Delilah MOSS 1 SEP 1841, Putnam Co., IN. She died 26 APR 1862 in Appanoose Co., IA. Jacob married 2nd Eleanor KUTCH, 18 MAY 1863, Appanoose Co., IA, and they came west in 1866 with some of Jacob's children (Malinda, David Franklin, Margaret, and Henry). Based on the 1870 census for Umatilla County, OR, Weston Precinct, Eleanor's possible son, Jacob, by a previous marriage also came with the family. I found an Enoch KUTCH listed in the land records as purchasing or receiving land from Jacob and Eleanor Scott, so I'm guessing that he might also be a son of Eleanor's.
My husband is a descendant of Margaret SCOTT and her husband, Adam Francis Ferris SHEETS. They lived in Joseph, OR, where he had a blacksmith shop and she ran a hotel/boarding house.
I am interested in finding out the death date and place for Jacob SCOTT and any information about his son, David Franklin SCOTT.

Re: Relatives of Enoch Kutch
I am looking for some information on Enoch KUTCH and his second wife, Ellen ALEXANDER. Do you happen to have a date of death for Enoch? And who did Ellen marry after his death? I have a Jacob SCOTT who married an Eleanor KUTCH in 1863 in Appanoose Co., IA, as his 2nd wife. In 1866, Jacob, Eleanor, and 4 of Jacob's children by his 1st wife (Malinda, David Franklin, Margaret & Henry SCOTT) went by covered wagon to Oregon. I believe they were in compnay with other KUTCH families. Is there any written record of their move to Oregon?

Re: Relatives of Enoch Kutch
In 1880 Umatilla County Oregon living next to James M. Isley family House 109 is Jacob 60, Ellenor 66, Henry 23 son; Mary 16, granddaughter. Henry was born in Missouri and Mary in Kenturcky. Enoch Kutch died Oct 19, 1861 in Appanoose County Iowa. He had married Ellen Alexander Oct 21, 1834 in Hendricks Co. Ind. Ellen remarried to Jacob Scott May 18, 1863. Enoch's probate package had a book with all everything he had given his children and this was used in figuring his estate. I used the bill for coffin tacks and the last Doctor call bill to figure his death date. Jacob Scott died Nov 15, 1892 in LaGrande, Union Co. Oregon. I am not sure about Elenor Alexander. Possible 1885 in Carlton, Yamhill Oregon McBride Cem. But that is just a guess. Enoch Kutch's grandson married my husbands greatgrandmother. Her grandfather was Jacob Scott.

Re: Relatives of Enoch Kutch
Do you have any information on how Daniel KUTCH is related to William C. Kutch, m. to Narcissa Baker McELROY (widow WALL) 24 Dec 1854, or to Bolin/Boren Lafayette KUTCH, m. to Artemissa McELROY 14 May 1855. Narcissa and Artemissa were sisters to my gggrandfather, George Washington McELROY, b. 1834 Mo., moved to Texas prior to 1860 census. Thanks for any confirmation information you might have on these two sisters' families. bjw
