Hi, I'm John Kuschel, from England, just wondered whether there were any other "Kuschels" in the UK. I know it's an unusual name over here, and I think my family know all the Kuschel's in the country.

Maybe not, if you are one, please get in touch!

Many thanks, John

My grand mother was a Kuschel through her grandmother. They were from Poland. There is a Kuschel family in Missouri,Gastonia County. Kuschel is a common name in Wisconsin and among the Mennonites of Pa. So you are not alone.

I went to school in Phoneix, Arizona with Joe Kuschel. Unfortunately he passed away in 1985, but at that tim his mother (Avis M. Kuschel McClellan) was alive and he has a daughter named Desiree (age somewhere around 20). Joe was born in Buffalo, NY.

I am a Kuschel from Missouri. My grandfather was from a large family, most of which still live in the state. One of his brothers went to North Dakota and has alot of family in that region.

Hi there. I know of Kuschel's in Wisconson, and California. Never heard of it in Missouri. I am told by a friend that was originally from Germany that the name is very common. I have also seen CD's put out by Kuschel. They are a rock group from Germany. Nice hearing from you. Jim

The Kuschel name is not as unusual as you may think. The name goes back to Christian Kuschel, born in 1819 in Prussia, Germany. I am a Kuschel, born and raised in the state of Minnesota, where the name is all over the place. Check it out on Ancestory.com and you will find the Kuschel Family Trees. I just now finished mine, I think.
