Surnames: Kusch, Bealk (or Balick), Pershick
Hi there,

I'm doing research on the Kusch family that moved to Saskatoon from Ontario in 1883. The line looks something like this:

Karl Kusch married Julia Bealk (or Balick?) and had nine children, the first of which died as a child. The others were named John, Mathilda (Tilly), Julia, Charles Frederick, Mary, Albert, Frank (or Francis?), and Henry.

John was my great great grandfather. He married Anna-Mary Pershick in 1905 and had ten children. Their names were Anthony Gerard, Mary Helen, John, Leonard, William George, Annie, Agnes, Bernard Marcel, Cecil Benedict, and Francis (Frank) Xavier.

Mary Helen was my great grandmother. She married David Maurice Coulthard in 1926.

The other spouses of the Karl and Julia Kusch children are:

Mathilda married Jack Woodcock.
Julia married William Bowdridge.
Charles Frederick married Berth Tadei.
Mary married Charles Irwin.
Albert married Anne Maria Georget.
Frank married Marie Georget.
Henry married Maude Welker.

If anyone is connected to this family please contact me at:

Charles Frederick was my great-grandfather. He, his second wife and their children (including my grandfather) moved away from northern Saskatchewan to Port Moody, BC in 1941 or so. My grandfather lived there until 1963 when he moved to Calgary and eventually to Nakusp, BC in 1972 where my family resides to this day.

Shane,
Mathilda Kusch, who married Edward (not Jack) Woodcock, is my great grandmother through their son Charles Woodcock. Your 2x grandfather, John, was a brother to my 1x grandmother, Mathilda,...so I think that would work out to us being 3c,1r, or third cousins once removed!

Do you have any more information on Xavier Francis Kusch? (he quite often went by FXK but his name was legally Xavier Francis).

He was my Great GrandFather.

-Thanks

Surnames: Kusch,
I was trolling for information on a cousin in my mother's family and stumbled upon your message about Kusches in Canada. My Grandfather had one or two brothers who went to Canada I believe, but we have never been able to find a link. I wonder if this might be the one. Some of the names in your Kusches are the same or similar to our family. My grandfather was Edward Karl Kusch, his father was Samuel Kusch and my GG grandfather was also Samuel who emigrated to the USA from Germany. Some of the Kusches were "Volga Deutch" from White Russian settlements along the Volga River, I don't have any information about the family in particular, only the tradition. Do you or your family have relatives in the USA?
