My mother's father was Wilhelm Helmut Rudolph Kusaj, born in Leipzig, Germany. He married Helen Gladys Hebets and they had 5 children: Kenneth, William, Bruce, Joyce and George Larry. If anyone has any information on Wilhelm, please e-mail me. Thanks so much. Happy searching to you.

Hi.
My mother's maiden name is Duzak (Polish), and her grandmother's maiden name was Kusa. Immigration records state that she came from a town called Sarzyna in Poland. I haven't been able to find out much else. There very well could have been a "j" at the end of the name before Ellis Island got through with it. The Kusa/Duzak's settled in Hartford, Connecticut around 1911 or so, I believe.

I am in contact with a lady in Germany who is helping me with research. He maiden name is Kusaj. She has relatives in Poland. Town of Brzesko family of Jakob Kusaj. Town of Piekary for Ursula Kusaj (but this is the wife's married name and we are not sure how she fits in, if at all.) Town of Sierakow for Thomas Kusaj.

Re: Kenneth & Louise Kusaj
Charlotte, I am helping Bill Hebets compile a chart of all of Henry & Laura Belle (Peden) Hebets descendants. If you have information about Kenneth & Louise, would you be kind enough to get in touch with me by e-mail? Thanks. Marian

Re: Kenneth & Louise Kusaj
Ken and Louise are my uncle and aunt. I have not been in touch with them for over twenty years, but I believe that they still live in Emporia, Virginia and run a campground. They have four kids, Debbie, Deana, Dessa and Darien.
Ken is legally blind from glaucoma.

Re: Kenneth & Louise Kusaj
Brett, Would you be interested in supplying me with the names & birthdates, etc. of your family so that they may be included in the Hebets descendants? Marian

Just a thought - I recently found that there was a KUSOWNA in our line--also Polish--but they shortened it to KUSA.
Ours settled in MN
