Alternative spelling Kurash?

Surnames: Kurash
My grandmother-in-law's maiden name was Kurash. Her parents (father = Kurash, mother = Fisher) would have been born between 1880 and 1895, I think in Slovakia, since my grandmother-in-law was raised in northeast Iowa speaking Slovak. Any info would be helpful.

I believe that I have the info. you need. There were 3 Kurash brothers who married 3 Fisher sisters. My Grandfather Edward Kurash married Clara Fisher, Joseph Kurash married Katherine Fisher, and Adolph Kurash married Anna Fisher. I believe your great-in-laws are Adolph & Anna whom had a daughter Viola Kurash married to George Backes. All were born in Iowa. The Kurash's father (Vojtech) Albert and his mother Katerina (Catherine) came from Bohemia in 1867. They are buried in Fort Atkinson, Iowa in Winneshiek Co. at the Saint John's Cementery. Correct spelling of the Bohemian name is Kuraz. The S with a symbol ^ above represents that I believe.
