Alvin H. Kunath, 87, was born September 17, 1910 in Traynor, Iowa, lived in Longmont, CO for several years before moving to Albuquerque in 1954. He died March 6, 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Jann Reynolds and husband, Chuck of Albuquerque, Joan Ridout and husband, Doug of Dayton, OH and Joyce Richardson and husband, Ed of Colorado Springs, CO; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister, Mabel Stokes of Washington; brothers, Bill Kunath and wife, LaVerne of Aurora, CO, Bob Kunath and wife, Loretta of Denver, CO; and Carl Morgan, brother-in-law of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Emilia Kunath and by his wife, Alma; his sisters, Velma Morgan and Naomi Wiscamb. He worked for ACF Industries and later retired from GE. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Machinist Union, local 794. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Rd. NE, on Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Wright officiating. Private interment of cremains will take place in Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE.
