Hello,
I am working ont racing back my ancestry and have hit a wall on the Kulaga side of things.
My father is Mike Kulaga, who had two brothers and one sister (Joe, Tom, and Mary) they all lived in Greenpoint Brooklyn with my Grandfather (also Francis or 'Frank' T Kulaga)
From what I can gather he had about 8-12 brothers and sisters (Walter, Anna, Joe, Helen, etc)
apparantly his father, also Francis (Franciszck) arrived in 1907 from Liverpool but was living in Galizia (sp) in Poland (although it as Austria/Hungary at the time and being fought over by the Ukrainians) He married Karolina Smela (Caroline Smela) and has 8-12 children before passing aay in Brooklyn.
Please look at my family tree and see if you can fill in any of the blanks for me! I'm hoping to find some distant cousins in Central and Eastern Europe :-)

It looks like Francisczk's parents were Anton Kulaga (born 1852) and Josefa Kulaga (born 1857) but that is as far back is I can figure out. Anyone have any more insight? I'd love to learn of more family in and around Poland, Ukraine, and Galicia!

I may be able to help you with the 8-12 brothers/sisters. My father was John, who was a brother to your grandfather (Frank). I believe there were ten brothers and sisters in all. The men were Frank (oldest) Walter, Joe, John and Arthur (youngest). Not too sure about the women, I certainly know there was an Anne (my godmother); I can certainly verify the rest with my mother - as my father has since passed away. They all grew up on Bedford Ave, Brooklyn.
