Hi Trish:

Read your message on the Board. My name is Sharon Kula. Our family came to Canada in 1898 from Stara Siolo, Austria, now Poland. There could be a connection. In speaking to a lady from Poland she informs me that Kula is not that popular a name in Poland.

Surnames: Kula/Szeszol
Hello, I found that the Kula family may be linked to my Polish surname Szeszol. I found on the LDS website this info:

Jozef Szeszol married Katarzyna Nosal had 1 child (well that is what is listed...)
Bronislawa Szeszol b. 17 FEB 1868 Poland married Karol Kula b. 01 FEB 1863 Zarowka Poland, d. 19 Nov 1890 Zarowka Poland.

They had 2 children (well that is what is listed...)
1. Weronika Kula b.05 APR 1891 Zarowka, Poland
2. Jan Kula b. 26 JUN 1897 in Zarowka, Poland and d. 17 APR 1898

It is all undocumented but the other list of Szeszols on the LDS website is mostly accurate, but doesn't include some siblings and a one date is wrong.

I did inquire at my LDS library branch about who submitted the info, and the librarian said they couldn't tell but that the proxies were being done in Ontario Canada, which means that the info was probably donated from there.

My Szeszol family came from Zarowka Poland.
