Surnames: Kukas(Kukauskas), Howard
my mom's maiden name was Kukas. Her dad, my BA was Stanley Kukas married to Elmere Katherine(sp) Howard. they had 2 kids: Joseph Howard Kukas and Lois Claire Kukas. Stanley's parents were: Josephine and Peter Kukas. They originated from Vilnius, Lithuania. Mom said she thinks they may have changed their name from Kukauskas to Kukas when they came to America. Are we shaking the same family tree branches??? Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lee

Janice,
Have been looking for info on an unce of mine John Anthony Kukauskas I don't have his birth date, but he married Gertrude H. Thorell in April of 1947 in Seabrook NH(?). I have his death date as 10-8-1953. She was from Brockton, MA, I think he was also. Any way he fits into your family? Have you searched on www.lithuaniangenealogy.org? Let me know if you think we're onto the same family. Thanks
