Kujawa or Kuyawa's of Minnesota/Poland
I just started researching my family lines. My grandmother was Blanche Anna Kujawa, born in Rice, Minnesota in 1909. I can't remember all of her sisters names but just a few: Hattie, Regina, and Anna. Her family came over from Poland but I'm not sure when. Can anyone help?

Please contact me. Pauline Kujawa, Blanche's sister, is related to my husband's family. I just started collecting information about that side of the family and would be interested in pooling information.

Re: Kujawa or Kuyawa's of Minnesota/Poland
Dear Dorothy, I am just starting a difficult search for information on my grandfather, Fred Behrens, married to Kate Kujawa, who I believe had a brother (Bernie Kujawa?) in the Little Falls area. I also seem to remember Bernie had a daughter named Margie. Is there any connection here? Your post is almost 10 years old...I'm hoping you're still checking in. Regards, Ardi Kramer

Re: Kujawa or Kuyawa's of Minnesota/Poland
I did a quick search and there is quite a bit of good info on her and at least one tree containing some of the names you mentioned. It is a big family with about 10 children. But Blanche's parents are not from Poland. Both of her grandparents were. Her father John was born in Pennsylvania while her mother Theresia was born in Minnesota. This information is on the 1930 Federal census. I hope this helps you. :)
