Dear Lynn,

Thank you so much for your reply, Through one other obituary, I DID find Wanda's name. Do you know anything else about that family in Michigan or do you know of any other researchers that might be related to this Michigan family? The information that I do have was acquired through cemetery records, obituaries and census records.

What I know is the Constance Hildebranski (1869-1952) married Frank Maciejewski (1862-1936). Constance is the sister of our great grandfather.

Constance and Frank had the following children: Mearchy, aka Mack (1891-1959), Wanda and Victor.

Mack married Emilia Wysiecki (1884-1958) and they had the following children: Kenneth (abt 1918). He and his wife adopted 2 girls who were sisters;
Virginia (abt 1921) she married a Mercurio;
and Melvin (abt 1923). He might have died 21 June 2000 in Phoenix, AZ leaving his wife, Lee, son, Clifford and grandson, Michael.

Wanda Maciejewski married Michael Kujat.

I would appreciate any help or direction that you could give to me.

Betty

Surnames: Kujat
I am a Michigan Kujat, my father Waldemar Kujat and his mother Lydia Kujat (her maiden name) came here in 1963 from Frizlar, West Germany, after escaping the Communists and the East in the late 1940's. He was able to maintain contact with his family there and he has visited them several times (mostly in Karl Mark Stadt, Leipzig or Chemniz area- town names have changed). He knows that he has family in Pennsylvania but is not sure who. He is an only child and has no middle name. He had five children and eleven grandchildren, all still use the name Kujat, living primarily north of Flint. I know that my grandmother Lydia's sister is Jeanette but don't know more. My sibs are Martin, Micheal, Janette, and Walter (none have middle names). My mother is Siegrid and also came from Germany directly. German is still spoken in my home, though my grandmother knows a little Polish. My father's birth certificate states Poland as his birthplace, but he said that they were moving around during the war and the country borders were always changing. I would be interested in finding out more.
