I'm not finding anything that I'm sure is your man! Have you seen this posting:
From: "Peter van Gils"
pvg@xs4all.nlI'm trying to find more information about Nanko Kuipers from Middelstum in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands. He first arrived in the US (Ellis Island with the MS Veendam from Rotterdam) on 28 April 1892 to
travel on to Grand Rapids, MI. On the 10th of april 1899 he arrives once more (Ellis Island, MS Statendam from Rotterdam). This time he list P. Veldman in Grand Rapids as the family member he is about to travel to. As his mother was Trijntje Sikkes Veldman, this can be an uncle or a
nephew. I have seen a remark somewhere that Nanko Kuipers is listed in the 1900 census but I haven't been able to verify this. Is there anybody who could help me to find out more about them? I have seen that there are still many people named Kuipers and Veldman in this area so it would be nice to see if it would be possible to complete my genealogy with your help. Thanks, Peter van Gils
Peter has a website with a list of children:

I did find a Jan born 4 Sep 1902 to Nanko & Maggie Kuipers in Richland Twp, Missaukee Co, MI. There was also a Klaas born in 1897, but parents are not listed, and I don't know if that was a family name. I'll keep looking for the 1900 census. You may contact me at
