If you a member of the Kuh family, then we may be distant cousins! My great-great-grandmother was Charlotte Kuh, daughter of Sarah Feldman & Charles Kuh. I have some information on Charlotte's siblings, and their families, however, I have yet to find any living Kuh relatives.

Charlotte Kuh was born July 1873, NY. She had two younger sisters, Carrie Kuh (b. Oct 1876, NY) and Adeline Kuh(b. Jan 1882. She had two older brothers, one named Moses Kuh (b. 1865, New York) and one named, Joseph Kuh ((b Dec. 1866, NY) who I know married Ida/Ada Kuh (b. July 1865, NY) and had three sons Charles Clifford Kuh (b Nov. 1892, NY), Lloyd M. Kuh (b. May 1897, NY)and Jessie Kuh ((b. 1903 NY). I have found some information regarding Charlotte's nephews (Clifford and Lloyd), but do not know if they had any children.

How am I connected? Charlotte Kuh married Max S. Ader
(b. 1876 Austria/Russia). They had four known children according to census records, Corrine Ader (b. 1901 New York), Beatrice Ader (b. 1903 New York), Charles K. Ader
(b. 1911) and Annie Ader (1914 New York).

Of these children, Beatrice Ader married William Feinberg, b. abt 1901 Connecticiut to parents Israel and Rose, New Haven, Conn. William's siblings included Jamie/Jennie Feinberg n. abt 1893 Canada, Arthur Feinberg b. 1896 New York and Morris Feinberg b. abt 1905 Connecticiut.

to make a long story short, Beatrice & William Feinberg had my grandmother, Shirley Feinberg, who married Abraham Lipke; they had three children, one of which is my father, Kenneth Lipke, who, made me!

If you are related, or have vital information, please post or email. Thank you!

The main thing to learn is where Charles was from before America. What religous background was his family. Kuh is a German word for Cow. This means its likely he came from somewhere in that region. Germany Austria Czech and the surrounding countries often spoke or wrote in German. I have a huge Kuh family from Prague originally. Its difficult to know all the names of children because of bad records and the amount of children people had back then. Good luck
