Alice L. Raddatz

Alice L. Raddatz, 81, Marathon, mother of a Nelsonville man, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, while under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Wausau Hospital in Wausau.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wausau, with the Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in the town of Maine (Marathon County).

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Wausau and from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the services.

Mrs. Raddatz was born March 19, 1920, in the town of Berlin in Marathon County, a daughter of the late Ewald and Clara (Seidler) Kufahl.

She was married to Bernhard J. Raddatz on June 4, 1938, in the town of Hamburg in Marathon County. He died Feb. 28, 1982.

She worked at the F.W. Woolworth Co. for 21 years and was a cook at Rib River Ballroom for 14 years.

Survivors include ; one son, Gerald (Pat), Nelsonville; one daughter, Joyce (Herman) Hilmershausen Jr., Marathon; two sisters, Arlene Wojczynski, Milwaukee, and Stella (Marvin) Wolff, Sun City, Ariz.; one brother, Harvey (Joann) Kufahl, Tomahawk; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Gilbert Kufahl.
