Yes, I have a fairly complete history of John and Emilie Fitzke. They were my GG Grandparents. I also have information on John's father and mother Carl and Anna. I also have digital photos of them all.

John,
What a coincidence! I was "best man" at your mother's wedding. I remember Arthur and Angela Kufahl and the wedding party at their house.
I can't offer any information about the Kufahl except that their farm was next to Fred Imm. I hope that you find more on Lee's family. If I remember, you did well with Trask family.

I came across your email written in Dec. of 2008 about your research on Art Kufahl's family tree. Sorry to say I can't help you, but I do recall visiting Great-Uncle Art and Great-Aunt Angela's farm in the summers, when my mom drove out to see them from Merrill. My Grandma, Ida Voelz Rusch, was Angela's sister.

I remember your Aunt Ruth coming up to see us in Waukesha from Chicago, your Uncle George and Aunt Marie's family, Uncle Ed and his family, too - all of them wonderful people.

Your mom was my sister Marge's Godmother, Lee's only "girl" whom she spoiled with affection. We always enjoyed visiting your family south of the border. I liked to think of you four boys as Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, though of course I knew that wasn't right. We last saw Fred, his son and daughter down in New Port Richey when my dad passed away there in the mid-80's.

I have a great photo of the Voelz family, with Angela and her siblings. I still need to organize my mom's pictures and records to know what else is there. Let me know if you are also researching the Voelz family, as I would love to extend my own knowledge of them.

It's so much harder to trace the female lines. I've researched my mom's through the National Geographic Genome Project. I have some preliminary information but am now awaiting the final, more extensive results.

Best of luck with your research. Say hello to all my second cousins from me.
