Do you know if there any relationship between the Kuecker name and the Ku"ker name???

Hello Ken
I was pleased very much about your post in messageboard. In
the moment I can unfortunately give you no further information over
the names Kuecker;Kuecker;K xx more ker. I think however, since this
name lies in a very small periphery around Neustadt or Borstel can it
actually only relationship or family concern. I will try me soon in
church registers or in authorities (city hall) to look around there,
in order to experience more over our relationship. I will then report
to you on it.
greet your family.

MfG Randolf

Hello Randolf - My great grandfather was named Friedrich Keker (this is how it was spelled on tha marriage certificate) however other members of the family have spelled it Kueker and Kuecker. (Although I understand that some of them dropped the 'c' due to a feud). You mention in a recent post that the name is from a small geographical area in Germany. Can you tell me if this is the only place this name originated?
Thank you. Sue

I have traced my Küker/Kucker/Kuecker family to the town of Gadesbunden, Hannover.I thought this was an uncommon name but have found many many many. I am trying to sort through those that immigrated to the Addison,DuPage County, Illinois area.

I would be interested in sharing what I have found.
