Hi Melissa,
My name is Amy and I own a store in Boise, ID. We are an eclectic store carrying many precious treasures. One of the many things we sell are rare and collectible books. I have come across a copy of
Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe from 1884. Inscribed in the front of the book is a name, city & state, and a date. The name reads as Wm Kuder, the city & state as Lectonia, Ohio and the date as 1886.
I then googled the info and low and behold I got linked to your inquiry about your family. I immediately felt this could be a little piece of your family’s history. I am happy to send pictures to you of the inscription. I too, was wondering if maybe you would like to have this book as a family remembrance if it is truly the family you have been searching for.
Please let me know your thoughts and feel free to contact me.
Hope your search has been fruitful.
Many thanks,
Amy
