My grandmother was from Poland. Her name was Janina Bergetta Kacala, daughter of Stefan KACALA. I have not been able to find out anything about their surname. Is this a possible spelling of your grandfather's surname? You can contact me at jenoc9@yahoo.com

Hi my grandmother Janina (Jane) Kacala was born in 1912. Could your ggg grandmother have possibly of been my grandmother's grandmother? I having been trying to find out more about my grandmother's paternal side (KACALA) but have been unable to find much. My g grandfather Sczepan (Stephan) KACALA's mother died young and his father re-married and had more children. Sczepan left Poland for a short while and joined the Russian army. His family supposedly was wealthy and when he married my g grandmother they disowned him.

Surnames: PISKORIK, RESZCZYK, KACALA, O'CONNELL
My grandmother Janina Kacala was born in Starachowice, Poland on August 26, 1912. She, her mother and two brothers came to the US in 1922 to be with her father, Szczepan Kacala. Her sister, Genyafeffa Kacala stayed in Poland and married a man by the name Reszczyk. Does this sound like we could be a link?
