My grandfather's name was Anthony Kubala, he ws born in 1913. His parents names were Catherine and Paul. I want to trace where they came from, I want to trace my roots back to Czechoslovakia. Can anyone offer any pointers?

Here is the story of my relatives, as far as we can figure.
They came from Czechoslavakia. They immigrated to NY (obviously), and then walked to Cleveland Ohio looking for work. When they didn't find it, they walked back to NY. When they failed to find it there (again) one brother went to PA and found work, and the other returned to Cleveland and found work. As far as I know, the Kubala side of my family has been in the North Ohio area ever since - until the last generation.
I appreciate any help you can provide!

a couple of places to look-- your grandfather's death certificate should give the parents' names and place of birth (however it might just say Czechoslovakia) or also there are updates on names of people coming in through Ellis Island and you might could look through them. Family stories are also good if there is anyone who's still alive to give information.
Good Luck. Nancy B.

Yes, I am curious about your group of Kubalas because my family said they used to visit cousins in Granger. I'll see what I can find out. Where do you live? Texas?
Sincerely, Nancy
