Hi: my maiden name is Kuba. Our grandfather came with his family from Carlsbad, Bohemia (Czechoslowakia) after WWII to Germany and settled just beyond the border on the Bavarian side. Kuba is not a common name in Germany.

Hello, I'm descended from Peter and Carolina Kuba who emigrated from Slovakia in the early 1900s - their son Michael was my maternal grandfather - any links here?

Hi Mike,,
Small world...We have a son named Mike.
Our ancesters came from Makower(Makow ), a suburb of Warsaw. They came to the states abt 1880. The name was originally Kubaba. Yehudah Arieh Kubaba was born 1859 in Makow, Lumzer, Poland. He married
Belah Jankowitz abt 1879. They settled in New York.

Cousin Bill,
My maiden name is Tricia Kuba. Alois was my great-grandfather, my grandfather was Frederick, my father Allan. Dad and I have been doing some research, please see my post on Alois Kuba.
Maybe we'll get some info and <gasp> maybe put together a reunion!
Take care,
Trish
