Franz Krze/Maria Skerlj birthed 7 children in Ljubljana, Slovenia. from 10.8.1875 to 27.6.1887. Lorenz Franz, Johann, Katarina, Johanna, Blasius, Gregor and Petrus. I know that Lorenz Franz and Gregor were in the state of Ohio. Children of Lorenz Franz, one of which was my father, grew up in the state of Washington. Does anyone know of any connections?

I'm actually just starting to research the Skerly (Skerlj) family history. I'm afraid I really don't know much about it - I think there are still family members over there. My Great-Grandfather was Alexander Skerlj and my Great-Grandmother was Rosalia Jersinovich. I would be very interested to see how much information you might have on that line (though I realize that doesn't seem to be the main line you're working on!)

Haven't worked on the Skerlj descendant for a long time - -an Andro Skerlj - askerlj@yahoo.com replied to me once - from Croatia - he said the original name was Skrlj - you might want to go to

http://www.sloveniangenealogy.org/

I haven't gone there for some time!

To repeat an old message of mine, my Great Grandfather, Franz Krze married Maria Skerlj - -don't know when but their first born was my Grandfather,
Lorenz Franz and he was born 10 Aug 1875.

If you find out any connection, would you please email me at

dlschoen@verizon.net??

GOOD LUCK
