Russ: I was wandering how you knew Krob was originally Krop. I just recently found out that the original name Krop was changed to Krob in Czech. The reason I am asking is I found out that were 3 brothers Krop that came from India to Czech. When they came to town, it was run by a Catholic Priest. They paid the priest money, and he changed their name to Krob and found work for the 3 brothers. Since there were only 3 brothers with the name Krop, I would think anyone that knew that would be related. Thanks for any info.

Oh I wish I knew about this back when you were writing!! Your story is almost like the one I was told while growing up. Like yours the 3 krop brothers moved form India to Czech (was Bohimia at the time. They were sheep hereders. And the catholic perist did change there name to krob. but in my story it was because the catholics at the time ruled, and because they wouldn't conforme they were forced to change there name so that when they died all of there land and belongs could not be claimed by there heirs so the catholic church got it all. What was your ansesters name
