Hi Fabio,

My husband's name is Gordon Kricheldorf and he was born in Chilliwack, British Columbia in 1963. He has one brother and five sisters still living. His father was an only child and is named Kenneth and he still lives close to Chilliwack. Ken's father came over from Germany. Good luck in your search.

Shirley

Hi,

I live in Australia. My Grandfather's name was Frederick KRICHELDORFF. He said that his family came from the town of Kricheldorf in Germany. His grandfather was Johann Christian KRICHELDORFF who was a Lutheran clergyman (Johann married in England in 1863. I can not get back further than that)
.
I know the spelling is different but perhaps you can help me.

Hi Jan,

My husband's grandfather came over from Germany but we don't have a lot more info than that. There aren't very many Kricheldorfs that we have found - in fact my husband's father, brother, nephew and son are the only ones we know of that are still carrying the Kricheldorf name in Canada. There are a few in the U.S. and one in Brazil, and only a few that we have even found still in Germany. Pretty rare name it seems. Do you know what it means in English? I'd love to stay in contact with you and can try find out more info about husband's family - I don't know if anyone has been doing family research in the family but I will check it out.

Good luck in your search. Let us know what happens.
