Classification: Query
Surnames: Krickbaum, Schultz, Trexler, Lennex
The following people are descendants of the immigrant
Johannes Philip Krickbaum & his wife Elizabeth Schultz.
Their son Johannes Philip Krickbaum, Jr. b. 26 Sep 1759 m. Susanna Trexler.
Their son Conrad Krickbaum b. 01 Jul 1801 m. Susan (maiden name unknown).
Their daughter Mary P. Krickbaum b. ca 1836 m. Henry S. Lennex / Lennox.

I have census readings and other information on all of the above plus their children.

If anyone knows what happened to CONRAD KRICKBAUM & wife SUSAN after the 1850 census. I’d appreciate the reply!!!!!

I found CONRAD KRICKBAUM in the census:
Indexed: Coonrod Crickbaum -- 1830 Fallowfield Twp., Washington Co., PA
Indexed: Coorod Crickben -- 1840 Carroll Twp., Washington Co., PA
Indexed: Conrad Crickburn -- 1850 Rostraven Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA,

After the 1850 census, I loose track of Conrad Krickbaum.

The only child of CONRAD KRICKBAUM I can find information on after 1850 is MARY P. KRICKBAUM and her husband HENRY S. LENNEX.

HENRY LENNEX & MARY P. nee KRICKBAUM lived in the following places:

Indexed: Henry Lenox – 1860 PO Monongahela, Carroll Twp., Washington Co., PA
1870 Census – I can’t find Henry Lennex & Mary P. Krickbaum
Indexed: Henry Lennex – 1880 ED # 118; Rostraver, Westmoreland Co., PA

Indexed: Henry Lennex living with daughter Sarah A. White
1900 Census -- ED # 9, Bridgeport Village, Bridgeport, Belmont Co., OH

Indexed: Henry Lennax [Henry Lennox] & Mary P. Mother,
1900 Census -- ED # 389; Forward Twp., PCT-2, Allegheny Co., PA

I could not find Henry Lennex nor his wife Mary P. nee Krickbaum after the 1900 census.

I found the following about Henry Lennex who served in the Civil War:

HENRY S. LENNOX - Civil War Pension file # 417,731; 1,046,457:
Henry was from Pittsburgh; was a coal miner in Columbia, Washington County, PA,
said his dad, JOHN LENNOX was in the Mexican war.
Henry married MARY CRICKBAUM 1853; she'd moved to Belmont, Ohio by 1915.

I found on the LDS Website (Pilot Project) death certificates for two of the sons of Henry Lennex and Mary P. Krickbaum who died in Ohio. Their death certificates give the names of their parents Henry Lennex and Mary P. Krickbaum.

The two sons are:
JOHN LENNEX b. 11 Jun 1854 d. 08 Jan 1922
Buried: Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Belmont County, Ohio
ANDREW F. LENNEX b. 23 Aug 1873 d. 03 Jan 1912

I have census readings and more information on these two sons and other information on their other children if anyone is interested.

Hi. I just happened to come accross this thread looking for my ancestors. All I could get to was Henry Lennex and Mary Krickbaum. I had Crickbaum. The information I have is from Waynesburg, Pa, which is where my father was from. I now live in Spain. I got this information many years ago at the town hall I believe, but I do not remember well. Anyway, Henry and Mary had a daughter named Martha Lennex (or Lennox). She was my Great Grandmother. Martha married George Harvey. Their daughter was Dorothy Harvey born in 1915 in Millsboro, Washington County, Pa and died in 1961 in Waynesburg. My grandmother. Dorothy White, nee Harvey married Robert E. White, my grandfather.
I do not know if any of this information is useful, but I was so happy when I found your thread on Lennex and Krickbaum
Joseph

Hello Nancy,
Thanks for your offer. I'm still so excited about all the information you have. I understand Conrad Krickbaum's father was Johannes Philip Krickbaum and his mother was Elizabeth Schultz. They came from Germany, right? Would you happen to know where from?
I cannot thank you enough for your help

Kind regards
Joseph

I believe Henry Lennex husband of Mary P. Krickbaum died between the 1880 cenus & 1900 census. In the 1900 census, Mary P. Lennax/Lennox is listed as a widow, she lived with her son Henry Lennex & wife Mary Jobes and family in 1900 in Allegheny Co., PA.
