Looking for information on Fred Krabbenhoft born in Germany in Germany ca. 1849. He immigrated to and settled in Jackson County, Iowa. I believe his brother was Carl, born ca. 1844 in Germany. A second brother may have been Henry, born Jan 1841.
Also living in Jackson County, Iowa was a Claus and Mary Krabbenhoft - born ca 1822 and 1828 respectively. I think they must be related in some way but all info I can find on Claus does not indicate that Fred is his son.

Fred is my great great grandfather. He had a son named Carl. There are a couple of other public family trees that have some good info on his children and parents, but i don't think necessarily on his siblings... Are you a decendant?

Some of the Krabbenhofts in Iowa are related to the ones in MN and Texas. There is a large family tree of Krabbenhofts on Geni.com There is also a Krabbenhoft.com website with links to other websites which may help.

The Krabbenhofts were not the only family in Revemsdorf to leave. If you start looking at the females and who they married you will find Johnke, Rehder, Kuhl, Poehl, Wright, and others. There is a census taken that is online that shows some of the farms. Krabbenhof t was spelled more than one way within genererations Most of the time Krabbenhöft. But other times Krabbenhoeft, Same families, May be Danish vs Prussien. I think there would be a lot of people related. Iowa, MN, ND, Texas. Matt from Texas started the original website.
