Emil Kovacevic McKeesport
Emil Kovacevic, 88, of McKeesport, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at UPMC McKeesport. He was born May 7, 1923, in McKeesport, a son of the late Milos and Frances Yednak Kovacevic; and brother of the late Mildred Pavlack, Michael Kovacevic and Tom Kovacevic. He was a retired first class machinist for US Steel National Works. Emil was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. He was an Army Air Force World War II veteran, having served as a corporal with the 874th Airborne Engineers. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn M. Luketic Kovacevic; children, Deborah M. (George Jr.) Pilszak, of Shaler, Tony R. (Cindy) Kovacevic, of North Huntingdon, Christina (Bernard) Hiltrop, of Rockford, Ill., Janice (Craig) Lawson, of Slippery Rock, Francis (Michelle) Kovacevic, of Port Vue, and Forrest E. (Tammy) Kovacevic, of White Oak; grandchildren, Garrett (Erin) Kovacevic, Janeen Kovacevic, Collin Kovacevic, Travis Hiltrop, Forrest Kovacevic, Kassie Kovacevic, Jeffrey Hiltrop and Korrie Kovacevic; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 2703 O'Neil Blvd., McKeesport, PA 15132. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Corpus Christi Church with the Rev. Stephen A. Kresak as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue. (Pennsylvania - Pittsburgh )
