Konstantine KOstishak came from Selasie (Ukrania) in the 1890s to Mayfield PA. marroied had 5-6 children by 1st wife moved to Mazieville Pa before 1900 married again an had another family. after 1st wife died.
One son John took the name of a mine boss in 1932 and became John Pulaski! Yhe only one to do this chage of name legally.!

Hello I,m from Branchdale Pa. My father and Grandfather were Nicholas Sr &Jr. My G. G. Father was Constantine. I,m trying to get info about Consantine. Was from Galitzia Astro-Hungary I was told. Came to USA late 1800's and lived in Mahony plane area. Below Frackville.

I was told by my uncle's that the Palaski name was taken to get jobs in the mines. My Great Aunt still lives in Tremont Pa She married my uncle Peter Kostishak/ Polaski She should be able to tell you better the reason. 570-695 The rest you will need. to obtain I'm In Ft. My father was John William Kostishack of Pittsburgh, PA., b.5/13/1917 d.2/1/1989. His first marriage was to Thelma Bowmen (1 daughter, Johnine); His second marriage was to Patricia LaVorgna (7 children). His father was Michael Kostishack (no other info available), and his mother was Katherine Caritzka, b.9/26/1896 d.6/1965 (both parents are buried in PA). My father had 2 sisters, Louise (Kostishack) Krunosky (1 son, Mark), and Tellie (Kostishack) Sacco (no info). If anyone has any info, please contact me (Jack) at jkostishack@aramarksvm.com.

My grandmother, Susanna Kostichak, and her sister Maria and brother Michael immigrated from Bohemia just before the turn of the century. They lived in Elizabeth NJ until about 1910. Susanna married Peter Goffa. Anyone have any info on this family?
