Oh, I sure hope you can!!! My grandmother, Mary Rose (Kopacz) Niziak, was from a village by the name of Wola Radlawska. One census says she was from Galicia and another says Austria. I know the basic history of the borders of Poland. I just want to find my Polish grandparents' roots. My mother spoke, read, and wrote Polish but didn't teach me even though I wanted to learn. She corresponded with relatives in Poland but I don't have those letters. However, I do have some letters, as well as, what I believe are baptismal certificates.
I have been able to trace many of my father's family but very few of my mother's. I am only second generation American born on both sides. I want to know my Polish side, too.
My parents are both dead so I can't ask them. I've been doing genealogy for nearly 40 years. Unfortunately, I've only been able to do it full time for the last 3 years. And, now I'm finding information that is not giving me answers but more questions.
Would you be willing to correspond with me on my personal email? If you are, it's
wolfkatgen@gmail.com.
My grandfather said my name in Polish was Kasha (not sure of the spelling) and I love that. However, my husband and most people I know now call me Kat. Please feel free to call me Kat, too.
Thank you so much for your willness to try to help.
Kat
