My great-grandmother was Margareth KOP(P), b. 12 Jun 1857, place uncertain. Her daughter, Isabelle (Huber) Bischof believed Margareth was born in Nashville, IL, but I've never found evidence to support that. Margareth is the daughter of Diederich Theodore Kop and Helena Buker, who were married at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Florissant, Missouri, 24 Jun 1856. In addition to Margareth, Diederich and Helena had a son, Henry/Harry, b. in Jan 1860, probably in Madison Co., IL.
Margareth married, 1 Jan 1876, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Grant Fork, Madison Co., IL, to Adam Huber, with whom she had thirteen children.
Diederich Theodor died in 1860, place uncertain. Helena quickly remarried to Clementz Uhl, but Helena died in early 1863. Margareth and Harry were raised in Clementz Uhl's family [REF: 1870 Census for Madison County]
I'm looking for proofs for the deaths of Diederich and Helena, and for their parentage, if possible. Both were born in Germany. I have their immigration/passenger records.
