I am looking for any information,my grandmother Erzebet Kokai or Kokay was born in Jaszarokszalas in Heves, in 1904, she married Janos Banko who was born 1901, they married and lived in Hatvan, Erzebet had three children, Ezebet, Janos and Alex, Erzebet is my mother, she lives in Canada now, Janos died in Hatvan in 1998, Alex still resides there, my grandmother died in Hatvan in 1978 and my grandfather died in Hatvan in 1973,my mother Erzebet married Ferenc Toth in Heves, they then moved to Diosz, where my older brother Tomas was born in 1955 or 1956, they then immigrated to the United Kingdom, where they resided for 17 years and in 1973 we immigrated to Canada, My father (Ferenc Toth), was born in Budapest in 1927, his mother`s name was Maria Toth, his father is unknown, Maria was placed in some kind of care, i beleive after her mother committed suicide by drowning in the Danuba River, i beleive Maria was about 16 or seventeen at the time of her mothers death,i beleive she was placed in the care of priests in budapest, her place of birth, i think, and that one of the priests fathered Maria`s son Ferenc, she was approx 18 years old when she had Ferenc, my father left Hungary in 1956 and that was the last time he ever saw her, she would have been approx 48 years old at that time, my parents returned to Hungary a few years later to visit and could find no trace of Maria Toth, so i`m trying to find out what happened to her also, i can be reached at doratoth@hotmail.com, thanks to anyone who may have info and passes it along to me.

Hi There,
I'm not sure if information will help you or not. My Grandfather Steve Kokay (it was Kokai) and his parents Steve & Verona and his sister Ilona immigrated to New Zealand in 1912. I can supply you with details on the Hungarian families that immigrated to New Zealand - about 9 families at the time the Kokay's came arrived here. My mother has all the details - Margaret nee Kokay. Not sure if this helps you or not. If you want any more details then send me an email.
Cheers

Funny but I have names like the ones you have mentioned in your posting. I am searching for a Suzanna or Susan Toth who married a Frank Banko both from Hyngary but don't know where. They were both born in 1888 and came to America around 1906, Her faimily had a perfume factory in Hungary that grew roses. Do you anything about these two they might have been related I can't find out anything because they both died and never talked to anyone. Thanks and God Bless Jenny
