I have forgotten you. I have no listing of a Cornelia Kok in my family tree. Kok is a very common name in Holland. You might have more luck chasing up the Carbo side. If I find anything I will let you know.

You should also chase up the German side - A number of them came from Waldeck, Ijselzee in Germany (often confused with Waldeck in the nothern netherlands). Also look at Kock and Koch as these are also common surnames and often found within the same families.

The names you mention are pretty common in my ancestory which were Koch.

Johan, I read that you had mentioned to somebody about the Kock/Koch's from waldeck, Germany.

I have traced my tree back to a Johannes Jacobus Kock/Koch who was born in 1710 and came from Sachsenhausen, Waldeck, Germany. He came to South Africa in 1737 and settled in the Swellendam district in the Cape. He married Johanna (Jannetjie) Van Rooyen 8/10/1747 and died in 1786. I believe he came with a younger brother or cousin, also from the same area in Germany, Johan Hendrik Christiaan Kock/Koch (1720) who also settled in the Swellendam district.

Do you have any information on this line at all

Hi Tessa
I am trying to find my family ancestors. My Gr Grandfather ,Peter Henry Koch born 28/12/1860 in Germany place unknown, migrated to Australia with his parents, Peter Frederick Koch and Rosina Dorothea Hildebrandt in1865.They also had other children born in Australia, Helen August Withelmine and Gustav Henry. I believe Peter Frederick's father was Lurgen Koch and mother was Wiebke Ode. Do you have any connections here? Peter Henry married Alice Eveline Madden in Australia on 13/3/1884.
