Marge,
I hope you are still online and researching your Koiles and Crails. I am referencing these two posts by you:
http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ind...http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.koile/16/mb.ashxYou mentioned that your father participated in a Coil DNA project, so I am assuming that he has the surname of Koile, as did his father and his father's father, etc.
If you are related to the William S. Crail you posted information about, he is related to my Crails. I’m wondering if you might have some information about my UNKNOWN Coil.
I descend from James B. Crail (b. 1783 PA) and Margaret Stewart, their son Thomas J. Crail (b. 1811 KY) and UNKNOWN Coil, who either died after 1841 or they divorced. I cannot find a record of either and do not know her given name. However, her two daughters are named Sarah Ann Crail (my ancestor b. 1832 IN or OH, depending on the census) and Hannah J. Crail (b. 1841 IN). Sarah Ann Crail married John Rouse.
My Crails were in Shelby Co., Bartholomew Co., and Brown Co. IN. James B. Crail was born in PA, while his brother was born in MD. When my Sarah Ann Crail's mother died or divorced Thomas Jefferson Crail, he remarried to Catherine Lock in Rush Co. IN.
