Clemens Koffler, a brother of George Koffler, lived in Slope County North Dakota early 1900s. He and his wife had at least 14 children together. Would like hear from any of his descendants.

Hi Michael. I would like to have all the information you have on Clemen and Elisabeth WILHELM KOFFLER's children. Also, do you have any information on his brother, Jack?

Regards,
Mitch

Hi, Mitch!

First, I appreciate getting messages on family reunion activity. You must put a lot of spare time into planning and updating your website.

Clemens Koffler, as you know, was a brother to my greatgrandfather George Koffler. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no info on Jack. That will be one of my next big projects. Any info I get I will gladly pass on to you.

Hope you're doing well today. We're having a rainy day in San Diego for a change!

Regards, Mike

Mitch,

I guess I'm still asleep here at work. Rereading your message I see that you're "looking" for info on Clemens and his family. Sorry. I have some info, not yet put into my database. It is sparse, but informative. He and his wife had 13 or 14 children and I can account for only 9, I think.

Will be working on it.

Mike

I read with interesst your posting of 2002. That's a while back, but I could see a connection of some sort. I just have been brousing and decided to try to respond to your posting.
My grandfather's name was George Koffler. My father's name was Peter Clemens, so I thought he might have been named after my grandpa's brother. My dad lived on a farm in Slope county, ND. He was born in 1901. He married Eleanora Wilhelm and together they had 11 children. I am the seventh of the group. My maiden name is Koffler. I now live in Seattle, WA. I have a feeling there is some connection.

Can't remember if I responded to the message below, sorry. but, I met Peter Clemens Koffler in 1961 in Bowman, ND and I even wrote a couple of letters to him about family history. So, I'm sure this is the same man. He must have been a brother to Raphael Koffler who was born in 1903 I think. Raphael's father was George Koffler who was born in 1873, don't have the paperwork in front of me, sorry again. It's all very interesting. Peter seemed like a great guy and the day we met, he was wearing his cowboy hat and western outfit and was in town for Bowman's "Crazy Daze" I his son George lives in Lake Stevens, Washington and must be about 80 or so now, that would make you in your 70s probably. Nice meeting up with you and God Bless.
