I am looking for information on the Erich Koeppe family that was in Germany during the war. His wife was Julia. Also, a Helmut Koeppe, son of Martha who lived in either Kiel,Brodershy or Holstein.

My husbands Anna (possible Johanna MARTH ) BUTENHOFF b. 1934, is his 2nd. Greatgrandmother.
I know this is a second marriage for her to Ernst Koeppe.
My husbands 2 nd. Greatgrandfater was from her 1st Marriage to August (Ferdinand) W. BUTENHOFF. I have been trying to find an Obit for her in Renville County, but no luck so far. Might be that her Koeppe name is mispelled.
Could you tell me if there is anymore info on Johanna (Anna) Martha Butenhoff Koeppe, as to her parents. Or if maybe a picture of Johanna and Ernst together?

Am anxious to see if we are related! I do not have an Augustus Koeppe in our ancestry yet, but we never know.. Mine starts with Bernhardt & Dorathea Koeppe coming to USA in the late 1860's, as Grandpa Louis A. Koeppe was born in Wisconsin in 1870. Since I do not know if Bernhardt had any brothers or sisters, I am a total "dead-end". Please e-mail me directly...........June

My great grandfather was Johann Frederich Koeppe and his wife was Caroline Seegett. They lived in the Chicago area in the late 1850's until their deaths around 1900. However, when they applied for permission to leave Germany their names were listed as Koeppe and Seegett but when they got to the U.S. they were known as Koeppen and Seegert. I know this is the same family because their children are the same as are their ages. They came from Schmolde Germany. Is this the family you are looking for?

Reply to Beverly Filbey: The Koeppe Family came from Germany in the early 1860's and settled in the Neenah-Menasha area of Wisconsin. Did William have any brothers or sisters? Bernhardt & Dorathee Koeppe had Bernhardt, William, Wilhelmina (Hattie), and in 1870 had Louis Arthur Koeppe, who was my husband's grandfather.

I became excited when I read the name fredericke Koeppe, this was my Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather. But my grandfather married Marie Lanndsoehft in Germany in 1852.
I would love to hear from others if they share the same relatives.

guess the Koeppe name is rare enough that if anyone has a
Fredericke Koeppe in thier line, it might be a match.
My Fredericke married Gottfried Poetsch and had my GGF
Friederich Carl Poetsch in 1860 in Senst, Germany.

Male born 08/12/52 in Oakland, Ca. was brought to Tulare County for adoption at the age of eight months. Mother was born 9/07/1926 in Vega, Tx. she was 29 years of age when I was born. She was marriage but seprated from husband she became pregnate by another man. She was force to give me up in order to see her other two boys. one son was born 12/04/1945, her other son was born 02/22/1949. I was told my birth name was Lonnie, name was change when I was adopted. My father was a truck driver and also was married and had other children they were seprated at the time of my conception. My father was born 04/23/1923.

Mother was Irish, Father was Irish with some Indian, Her mother died due to kidney problems in 1941

I am descended from Chicago Koeppes, my grand- father, Oscar immigrated from Spandau, Germany (suburb of Berlin) in the 1880's. His mother, Augusta had been widowed during her pregnancy when my great-grandfather, August was killed on the job as a building contractor. Oscar was still an infant when the family came over, docking in Philadelphia, after being delayed for over a month in quarantine in England after an outbreak of measles aboard ship. My grandfather had about 13 siblings, some of whom immigrated and some of whom stayed behind. All were acomplished musicians or singers, one of his sisters was in the chorus of the Berlin Opera.

I am currently living in Connecticut, USA. My family is origianally from Michigan, my father Robert Edward (deceased) was from Ohio, USA. His father (I do not know his name) was a fireman who died on the job in Ohio. My father was born in 1921. He never spoke of brother's and sister's, any information would be appreicated.

My gr-grandfather was an August Koeppe born 1870 somewhere in Germany, immigrated? Had a brother Herman, and married a Mary Dicey Earl of Missouri. They settled in Pierce County Nebraska, but also lived at some time in South Dakota because my grandfather Walter was born there. Anyone related???
