George Koebel was from Baden. He was born there in 1819 and came to the United States. His wife was Magdalena. Do you think there is a connection here?

Hi,
From my research George Koebel was Max Adolf Koebel's brother. Can you help me varify this information. Max A. Koebel was my father' Grandfather. My father was Max A. Mason. Thank you.

Dear Adolf and Karl,

My name is Albert "John" Mutschler III and I live in Troy, Ohio (Near Dayton). I would be the Great Great Great Grandson of "Ignaz" Ignatius Pragnatius Mutschler and Karolina Koebele. All I know is that my Great Great Grandfather Ambrose/Ambrosius supposedly fled Germany during the 1840s when Otto Von Bismark was consolidating power in Germany. He supposedly was a music teacher.

I never could find out where he died. His son, Eugene Charles Mutschler was a blacksmith and lived near Wapokenata, Ohio. His son was Albert John Mutschler was a toolmaker. During WWI, the US Army used him to interpret German prisoners from Southern Germany. My father, Albet John Mutschler Jr. owned a tool shop that specialized in making US military equipment. My self, I am part owner of a metal fabrication shop that specializes in generators, corn milling equipment and aeration racks. I am also an avid golfer and college basketball fan.

I would enjoy being in contact with my long lost relatives in Germany.

I would love to know the history of both the Mutschler and the Koebele families. It seemed that there was a lot of turmoil going on with Ignaz's family back in the early 1840s. From my research, it appears that Ignaz's father, Johannes Adam Mutschler, might have been mayor of Grafenhausen, Germany at one time. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I also know that Ambrose's brothers Joseph, Carolus and August came to Ohio to during the 1840s. Those brothers lived near Tiffin, Ohio.

Please contact me through e-mail if possible. I would also like to hear from any Mutschlers that live in in or around Grafenhausen.

Sincerly,

Albert John Mutschler III
