Hi Ken,
Thanks for sending me your tree on the Koceja Family. Obviously you are related to the John & Eve Koceja branch of the Koceja Family. However how do you relate? I have seen many of the member's in your tree while I doing researching, however I do not know how they relate to my Koceja Branch. I am sure that they are related though. I see both of us live in Milwaukee so I would think it would be easier to put the links to the two Koceja families together. How is the question.
Here in part is my tree. (I am not good with computers so I do not know how to send you a file of my tree.) In my tree I have Xavier Koceja B: 1847 who married Victoria Piszczek B: 1840. They married in Gromando, Wyrzyski Dist., Pila CO., Poznan, Poland in 1870. Perhaps Xavier is your John's brother or cousin as their ages seem to fit. Xavier's parents are Paul (Pawel) Koceja B; abt.1821 who married Frances Jagodzinski B; abt.1822. They married in Krostkowo, Poland in 1842.
BTW Victoria was married before her marriage to Xavier. She married Albert Belka B: abt.1824-D:1869. They were married in Gromando, Wyrzyski Dist., Pila CO., Poznan, Poland in 1861
Xavier & Victoria immigrated in 1902 and settled on Milwaukee's, south side. Victoria died in 1906 & Xavier married Anna Wilczynski in Milwaukee on Nov 27, 1906.
Xavier & Victoria Koceja had children John B: 27 Mar 1872, Michael B: 13 Sep 1881, Nicholas B: 01 Dec 1878 & Joseph J. Koceja B:1873. I am related to the John Koceja branch. He married Mary Cywinski and they had children; Possibly Francis, Joseph, John, Celia, Frank, Stanley, Anna, Sophia, Roman, Alice, Raymond and Mary Koceja.
Alice Koceja is my Grandmother. She married John Kwapiszewski, Sr.
So that is part of my tree. Perhaps you have come across these family members in your research? If not perhaps some of these names and places can help with your family research.
Feel free to contact me at
busyome@wi.rr.com if you would like to discuss this further. Again thanks for your tree. It sure will help with many of the names I have but do not know who to connect them to.
Sincerely,
Jill Kwapiszewski-Bartell
