Barry Kocak North Versailles
Barry Kocak, 69, of North Versailles, went quickly home to heaven at UPMC McKeesport, Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, with his loving daughter, Deborah, at his side. Born Dec. 2, 1941, in McKeesport Hospital, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Rita Jean Black Kocak. He graduated from McKeesport High School and joined the Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1966. Barry married Ilona M. Krivi on June 24, 1972. She passed on July 31, 2008. They had one daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Kocak Coleman. He is also survived by his twin brother, Albert (Margaret) Kocak, of Somerset, Mass., Dennis (Margaget) Kocak, of Boston, Pa.; and a sister, Joann Pasco, of Somerset, Pa.; and five nieces and one nephew. He was a dedicated school bus driver for Laidlaw Bus Transportation. The day he was rushed to the hospital, his big concern was not himself, but making sure that someone called him off from his job driving school bus. A graveside blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Monongahela Cemetery by Father Thomas J. Burke, pastor of Good Shepherd Church, Braddock, followed by the rendering of full Naval military honors. SCHLEIFER FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., formerly the Ronald V. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., Bell Avenue, North Braddock, has been entrusted with Mr. Kocak's funeral arrangements. (Pennsylvania - Pittsburgh Tribune)
