I am looking for info on my Grandfather and his ancestors. Thomas Knowles, b. May 17, 1868 in Waterbury, CT. (Was 1st womens basketball coach at Univ of CT, also head football coach there) His father was Charles Knowles, b. Sept 12, 1844 in England. Charles immigrated in 1850. He left London, England and arrived in New York on September 2nd on the Yorktown at the age of 6. Also on this ship was: George Knowles, M, age 3 Hannah Knowles, F, age 9 William Knowles, M, age 12 Grace Knowles, F, age 43 (I am guessing that these are brothers and sisters or cousins, Grace may be an Aunt?) I believe Charles Fathers name was John Knowles, had a wife named Agnes? Don't know anything beyond this. I am presenting this to my parents for their 50th Annivesary present and would love any help to further their story. Thank you all.
