Obituary: Pearl Jensen Wilstead, 86, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away from complications of cancer October 2, 2000 in Price, Utah surrounded and supported by her loving family.
Born December 15, 1913 in Taber, Alberta, Canada to Laffayette and Christina Knibb Jensen, she was the seventh of 10 children. She married Alfred Raymond Wilstead March 7, 1934 and later sealed for time and all eternity. She was preceded in death by Ray on November 13, 1984, infant daughter Gloria, parents, three sisters and five brothers.
Mama has been an inspiration to her family and has blessed their lives. She had great strength and independence and spent her life serving her loved ones. She enjoyed simple things in life and her greatest enjoyment was being with her family, especially the little children. She lived in many homes in Castle Gate and all were immediately improved with beautiful lawns and flowers that climbed the hills or covered rocky ravines. She was recognized with several yard-beautification awards. She had a testimony of our Savior and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Pearl is survived by her son: Jimmie Dueane Wilstead (Susan), Price, Utah; daughter, LaRae Pressetto, Bountiful, Utah; grandchildren: John R. Pessetto, L. Scott Pessetto, Craig P.Pessetto, Paula Clark, Steven Wilstead, Amy Johnson, Natalie Wilstead and Jamie Wissmar, 19 great
grandchildren; and brother, Melvin Jensen.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the care givers at Castle County Care Center in Price for their loving kindness during her illness and to Rocky Mountain Hospice for their kind support and encouragement. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Sat. Oct. 7, 2000 at Fausett Mortuary, 680 E. 100 So. Price, UT. Viewing, one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Lawrence Cemetery, Lawrence, Utah.
