The witnesses to an 1825 marriage at St. Mary le Port, Bristol, Gloucestershire, were Mary Kneath and David Kneath.
I am interested in these people, as they may be sister and brother-in-law (or other relations) of either the groom, William BEVAN, or the bride, Elizabeth WILLIAMS.
I searched the internet indexes for 1841 census, and found what appears to be a household, in "St. Mary's Redcliff" (Bristol), consisting of
David KNEATH b. abt.1801, and children John abt.1830, Elizabeth abt.1833, Anne abt. 1837, Martha and Mary abt.1839, and David abt.1840. (No Mary about David sr.'s age.)
There is also a listing for a Susannah KNEATH in the same parish, b. abt.1811.
The Internet indexes for the 1851 census yielded David KNEATH and wife Mary in "Bristol St. Mary Redcliffe". David was born abt.1799, and Mary abt.1805.
KNEATH children in the same parish, with parents' names David and Mary, are:
John abt.1830, David abt.1841, Mary and Martha abt.1839, and Sarah Ann abt. 1844. (No Elizabeth or Anne.)
There are other KNEATHs elsewhere in Gloucestershire. (

I did not find the David/Mary KNEATH family in the 1861 census indexes.
Is anyone of this KNEATH genealogy? Do you have any links to BEVAN or WILLIAMS surnames? Or the occupation "sail-cloth weaver"? Or the abode "Bedminster, Somerset" (now part of Bristol)?
Please contact me! I haven't yet got back past the 1825 BEVAN/WILLIAMS marriage that the KNEATHs witnessed.
