Albert Franklin Knearl, 88, a resident of Rio Rancho, since 1976, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 1998. Albert was born March 29, 1910 the son of John F. and Cora B. Dale Knearl in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He had been the owner/operator of a restaurant in Palmdale, California before retiring and coming to New Mexico. Albert served in the US Army during WW II, was a member of the Sandoval Lodge #76 AF & AM, York Rite Bodies, Ballat Abyad Temple, West Mesa Shrine Club, Order of the Amaranth, and the Methodist Men's Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Loree in 1983. Albert is survived by his brother, Homer Knearl and his wife, Inez of Rio Rancho; two sisters, Velma Knearl of Wichita, KS, Cora Belle Hall and her husband, Scott of Fort Collins, CO, and many nieces and nephews and many friends who enjoyed the pleasure of his company. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 1998 in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with the Service on Saturday, June 27, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary. Officiating will be Rev. Tim Neustifter of the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in the Floral Garden Mausoleum in Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church has been suggested. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary.
