Dead End! Looking for Lucius Knapp b. about 1812 probably in Montgomery County New York, but possibly Schoharie or Otsego (or somewhere else). Shows up on the 1855 New York State Census for Sharon Springs, Schoharie New York with wife Zada Jones Knapp and children Sarah Jane Knapp b. 1840 and Albert Delos Knapp b. about 1845. Zada moved to Ypsilanti Michigan, probably after the probable death of Lucius Knapp between 1855 and 1860. It is possible that Lucius also came to Michigan about that time and died there, but I believe that to be unlikely. Zada was a member of the large Jones family in the Florida/Charleston Montgomery County NY area. Lucius may have other Knapp relatives in the Ypsilanti, Michigan area, but that is unproven at this time.
